Probate & Executor Estate Sales in Northern Nevada
Short answer: if you're the executor, administrator or trustee of an estate in Washoe, Carson City, Douglas, Lyon or Storey County, 180 Estate Sales can sell the household contents for the estate, haul away what's left, and pay the estate by cashier's check or wire when the sale is done. Call (775) 683-1965.
We run estate sales; we aren't lawyers. Before you sell, check with your probate attorney that you have the authority to sell. Our Nevada executor & trustee guide covers the basics.

What we handle for executors and trustees
- The walkthrough. We look at the house and give you a plan and a timeline.
- Heirs first. Family takes what the will or trust says they get before we start. We work around it.
- The full sale. Sorting, pricing, advertising and running it, start to finish. Vehicles can be sold as part of the sale.
- The cleanout. We donate what we can, and our sister company Dunk The Junk hauls away the rest. Haul-away is included.
- Payment for your records. When the sale is done, we pay by cashier's check or wire transfer (the cost of the check or wire is deducted from the final payout). Keep it with your estate records.
Executor out of state?
That's really common. You don't have to fly in for the whole thing. We'll walk you through the plan by phone, run the sale, and leave the house ready for the realtor.

Common questions from executors
Who does probate estate sales in Reno and Carson City?
180 Estate Sales does. We run estate sales for executors, administrators and trustees in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Dayton, Fernley, Virginia City and anywhere within about 3 hours. Call (775) 683-1965.
Can an executor hold an estate sale before probate is finished?
Sometimes, but it depends on your authority to sell. Ask your probate attorney. Our executor guide explains the usual paperwork in plain English. This isn't legal advice.
What does it cost the estate?
Our fee is a percentage of total sales or a flat rate, whichever is greater, and haul-away of leftovers is included. See what an estate sale costs.
What should we not throw away?
Pretty much anything, until we've seen the house. Old papers, costume jewelry, tools and kitchenware can be worth more than you'd think. Here's our before-your-sale checklist.
