Estate Liquidation in Reno, Carson City & Northern Nevada

Short answer: estate liquidation means selling off the contents of a home, usually after a death, a move or a downsize, and then clearing out what's left. 180 Estate Sales does both. We run a full estate sale in the home, and when it's over our sister company, Dunk The Junk, hauls away the leftovers. Haul-away is included. Call (775) 683-1965.

We work across Washoe County (Reno, Sparks, Incline Village), Carson City, Douglas County (Minden, Gardnerville, Stateline), Lyon County (Dayton, Fernley, Yerington, Silver Springs) and Storey County (Virginia City), plus anywhere within about 3 hours.

What is estate liquidation?

It's the whole job of turning a full house into an empty one, with as much of the value as possible going back to you. Some people call it an estate sale, some call it a liquidation, some just say "we need to clear out Mom's house." It all means the same thing to us: sell what has value, donate what we can, and haul the rest.

How our estate liquidation works

  1. Walkthrough. We come out, see what's there, and talk about your timeline. Take anything the family wants to keep before we start.
  2. Sort, price and set up. We go through the house, garage and outbuildings, price everything, and set it up so it shops well. Setup takes at least three days.
  3. Advertise. We list the sale online and send it to our early-access email list of local buyers.
  4. Run the sale. Most sales run two to three days. Our crew handles the crowd and checkout. Cars, trucks and trailers can be sold as part of it.
  5. Clear it out. What doesn't sell gets donated where we can, and Dunk The Junk hauls away the rest. That's included. Cleaning is available if you want it.

What it costs

Our fee is a percentage of total sales or a flat rate, whichever is greater, and haul-away of the leftovers is included. For sales more than an hour from Carson City, a travel charge is added to the minimum fee. See what an estate sale costs.

Common questions about estate liquidation

What's the difference between estate liquidation and an estate sale?

Not much. An estate sale is the main way an estate gets liquidated. With us, liquidation means the sale plus the cleanout afterward, so you end up with an empty house, not a house with leftovers.

Who does estate liquidation in Reno and Carson City?

180 Estate Sales does. We run estate sales and liquidations in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Dayton, Fernley, Virginia City and the rest of Northern Nevada. Call (775) 683-1965.

What if there isn't enough for a full sale?

Not every house needs one. If there isn't quite enough for a sale, our sister company, Dunk The Junk, can handle the cleanout for you.

Do I have to be there?

No. Lots of our families live out of state. We'll walk you through the plan by phone and keep you posted.
